Talking about logistics, planning and implementation usually flashes to our minds if the said word is mentioned, right? What are your plans about your health and what are the things that you are currently doing to and planning to do to stay fit?
If you include NEW START in your daily itinerary you are on your way to wellness. What does NEW START means? N stands for Nutrition, E for Exercise, W for Water, S for early morning Sunlight, T for Temperance in all things you do, A is for pure Air, R is for Rest and relaxation, and T stands for Trust in God.
Implement NEW START everyday. Be a logistics officer for you and other peoples health. Whatever we eat, drink, or do today (quality and quantity) has great impact to our health not just for hours or days after but for the years to come.
Outer Banks – A Great Place To Relax
Having a nice place to relax for a vacation that is close to nature like Outer Banks is really a great experience.
Rest and relaxation that is close to nature is particularly helpful in calming stress, restoring health and in obtaining peace that is why it is really necessary for us who lives in the city to take a break, rest, relax and have some fun on places close to nature.
Who will not love to stay in place that is not congested and is close to nature like Outer Banks even just for few days? A place near the beach where you can observe the sun rise every morning, walk or sit comfortably on the beach watching the sunset, and feast on the waters any time of the day? No great instances could replace a vacation close to nature if we talk about wellness.
The Importance of Good Night Sleep
How was your sleep last night? I have heard that sleep number bed gives more comfort than the usual bed we use at home thus, producing a good night sleep. Good night sleep is as important as good nutrition and exercise to attain wellness. Sleep helps our body establish regular bio-rhythms that could lessen cancer risk and normalizes hormone metabolism.
Did you know that by the time we are on our deep sleep all the things we learned during the day that was stored on our short term memory bank (hippocampus) is transferred to its permanent storage site (neocortex)? Thus, making sleep so important to our learning process. Lack of sleep will not just result to poor memory retention but poor accuracy and precision in work and some health problems as well. So, why settle for less effective bed if we have a choice to avail a bed that could give us a maximum comfort?
Effects of Attitude on Health
Attitude especially on how we perceive things has great effect on our health. There are two kinds of attitude, the positive attitude and negative attitude. Attitude plays a big role how we face problems, failures, pain, success, and assigned tasks.
Lots of people when they unexpectedly face failure or problems in life become bitter, angry, and resentful. Some redirect their mind to drugs, alcohol or food just to forget or temporarily escape from their problems. Others will pretend that the problem does not exist, as if nothing happened, and go on with what they used to do. Sometimes we need to go through feelings like that until we are ready to face the real situation and see the positive things that could come out of it.
Our incapability to acknowledge the fact that pain and problems are normal part of life could lead to stress, emotional illness, health problems such as hormonal imbalance and hyperacidity, and diseases like hypertension and certain heart ailments. We need to know how to handle the problems we face to avoid stress build-up that may result to health problems. Worry about the future is one of stressors that could result to health problems that should be avoided.
You can improve your health by having positive outlook in life and happiness in your heart. Pleasant thoughts and feelings could boost your immune system and promotes hormonal balance. So, practice the positive attitude in you most of the time to maintain wellness.
Exercise Your Will to Attain Wellness
Do you know how powerful your will is? Its value is not recognize as it should be, maybe because lots of people did not realized yet how powerful it is especially in maintenance of good health and in dealing with pains and illnesses.
I always emphasize the importance of physical exercise to your family health. Now, I am telling you to do the same with your will. Exercise the optimistic side of you in everything you do, in thoughts and in deeds. Remember that stress could trigger physical problems so inject a will exercise – think positive in all your dealings and redirect your thoughts to the right direction including resistance to acquire disease. But, you have to incorporate other essential things in healthy lifestyle as well like nutrition, physical exercise, water, sunlight, temperance, rest, laughter, good interpersonal relationship and, hope and trust in Divine Power for you to attain wellness – free from physically and, or psychologically illness.
Feeding positive mental attitude to someone who is suffering from pain or disease and letting the patient exercise his will by overcoming the pain or disease he is suffering on on his thoughts and the patient cling on positive thoughts would be great help for patient’s recovery from such state. Thousands of people have recovered because of their will. Even invalid people that has great hope and will to be able again might recover his health and strength.
Exercise your will by thinking positive thoughts, have hope and follow healthy lifestyle, with these things you will attain wellness.
