Vaginitis is an infection or inflammation of vulva-vaginal area. What causes vaginitis? Normally, genito-urinary system are thrived by microorganisms, change in pH (acidity or alkalinity) may cause these microorganisms of normal flora to become infectious. Aside from that, vaginitis could also be caused by germs transferred from rectum or carried by male sexual partner and been transmitted through sexual contact. Low immune system due to lack of sleep, stress and poor diet may also trigger vaginitis. What are the symptoms of vaginitis? Itching or burning sensation of vulva, abnormal discharge and desire to void frequently are the usual symptoms.

How can you avoid vaginitis? As they say, “cleanliness is next to Godliness”, we need to be clean always. Try to use non-soap cleansers in washing the vaginal area and avoid use of other people’s towel. Spray, soaps, and talcum powder is not necessary, better eradicate it because it could only trigger vaginosis due to change in pH of the vaginal area. Wear cotton underpants to allow air circulation not those that are made of synthetic material because it could retain moisture that may enhance multiplication of microorganisms on vaginal area. Too tight pants is not good too. Coffee, alcohol, sugar and refined carbohydrates has great effect on vaginal pH too so better have limitation on taking these foods.

Boost your immune system and maintain cleanliness, these are the keys to fight against vaginosis. Douch is also good when it is done occassionally to thoroughly clean the vaginal area.

The Importance Of Cleanliness To Our Health

cleanliness

cleanliness

Cleanliness, this is the most essential thing of good health practice. We should maintain it not just on our body but on our surroundings as well. Let us start with the unclean substance called dirt. It is where the culprit of different disease—the microorganisms like parasites, bacteria, fungi and viruses live and grow. Will you permit these microscopic organisms ruin your family’s health?

Clean food is very much important. We always see to it that all the utensils and the raw ingredients of our food are clean. However, have you given importance to the cleanliness of your kitchen sink? It is in the sink that we wash our dishes and sometimes food residues are left on the cracks and, or on the drainage of the sink that will decompose and be the breeding ground of certain microorganisms.

Cleanliness on our toilets should also be maintained for we all know that feces are full of germs and long standing urine multiplies the bacteria. Telephones and computers can also be a breeding ground of harmful microorganisms. Let us not forget our floor and door knobs, especially main door and comfort room door knobs, we should see to it that it is always clean.

Vehicles driven should be rigorously disinfected because it can be a carrier of germs. Aside from bacteria and fungi that may thrive on tires or sub frames, viruses may survive for weeks in cool, moist, dark conditions and can easily be spread via mud or fecal contamination on vehicle tires or sub frames.

Cleanliness of the whole house should be maintained. And see to it that these door knobs, kitchen sink, toilet, floor, telephones and computers are not just clean-looking but germ free clean. We should make sure to disinfect those areas and things everyday.

A daily total body washing reduce us from skin infection and a habit of hand washing now and then, especially after using the toilet and, before eating, for us not to ingest those harmful microorganisms should be implemented. Teach your kid how to wash properly their hands using soap and water for them to follow.

Train your kids while they are very young about the importance of cleanliness. It is a good health practice to protect your family against germs.
