Some Health Tips from My Cousin
Health Tips helps a lot for us to be aware of things we can do to attain wellness. I myself loves to read health tips on books, magazines and on internet. And some on the health tips posted by my cousin and friends on their wall at Facebook.
My cousin who is so fit really follows healthy lifestyle. He could even compete on body building competitions if he wants to because of his great shape. He said that he wants to know more about Arnold Schwarzenegger Bodybuilding first. My cousin idolizes Arnold Schwarzenegger not just because of his great shape but of his outlook in life too.
Aside from proper diet, going to the gym and being free from vices, my cousin loves to practice Yoga too. He said that rest and relaxation is really important to combat all kinds of stress. He also practice taking at least 7 hours of good night sleep everyday.
He said that water intake matters a lot too and I agree with him. Our body is composed mostly of liquid. How will it function well if you do not consume right amount of liquid? I am referring to pure water here, not just any liquid. As we all know, our body needs at least 8 glasses of water a day.
Optimism, happiness and contentment are his other secrets too to stay healthy. He said that, “You should be happy in doing all the tips I have mentioned awhile ago because it matters a lot. Plus, be optimistic in all things not just for yourself but by stimulating others to be optimistic, happy and be contented as well matters a lot too.”
My cousin said his health tips but he himself is a great model of outcome of a person who loves to follow healthy lifestyle if you’ll just observe of his doings.
Effects of Attitude on Health
Attitude especially on how we perceive things has great effect on our health. There are two kinds of attitude, the positive attitude and negative attitude. Attitude plays a big role how we face problems, failures, pain, success, and assigned tasks.
Lots of people when they unexpectedly face failure or problems in life become bitter, angry, and resentful. Some redirect their mind to drugs, alcohol or food just to forget or temporarily escape from their problems. Others will pretend that the problem does not exist, as if nothing happened, and go on with what they used to do. Sometimes we need to go through feelings like that until we are ready to face the real situation and see the positive things that could come out of it.
Our incapability to acknowledge the fact that pain and problems are normal part of life could lead to stress, emotional illness, health problems such as hormonal imbalance and hyperacidity, and diseases like hypertension and certain heart ailments. We need to know how to handle the problems we face to avoid stress build-up that may result to health problems. Worry about the future is one of stressors that could result to health problems that should be avoided.
You can improve your health by having positive outlook in life and happiness in your heart. Pleasant thoughts and feelings could boost your immune system and promotes hormonal balance. So, practice the positive attitude in you most of the time to maintain wellness.
Attitude of Gratitude – Easiest Way To Be Happy

attitude of gratitude
Practice an attitude of gratitude; it is one of the easiest ways to be happy. Unhappy attitude affects digestion, slows down circulation, and may cause insomnia and other health problems.
It is our human nature to focus on things we do not have, while taking for granted all the good things that we have. We just need to adjust our views for us to take notice of what is going well and what do we have in our lives because most of the time, we do not take notice of the things that make us feel happy, complete and satisfied. We do not take the time to get to know our deepest longings and to give thanks for our most fulfilling moments. When we examine carefully and recognize what we have, we may amaze ourselves and find more than we expected. Often, it is just a matter of discerning what is there in the first place.
But, there are times that you do not feel much like giving thanks, maybe because you are experiencing tough time in your life. The times you least likely feel giving thanks is the right time that you need to do it most. An attitude of gratitude is a discipline. We need to exert an effort to do it, even when it is a struggle. As mature individuals, we need to learn to look beyond our immediate circumstances and see the larger picture. While you are addressing those problems, you can also look around, and appreciate all the things you can be grateful for.
We should be aware that an attitude of gratitude does not develop by chance; it is something we can learn. So we need to work at building thanksgiving into our daily lives. We need to practice an attitude of gratitude for us to know better what makes us happy. Happiness is an attitude too. It is the gratitude attitude that could be cultivated.
May you spend some of your time everyday to be aware and count the good things that is happening to you because gratitude yields happiness, and happiness promotes good health.
