How to Effectively Handle A Family Budget

Nowadays it is not enough that only person will work to meet family needs because prices of commodities are rising. Another problem in budgeting is that if the one that is in-charge of budgeting in family finances is poor of management skills. Being a stay at home mom does not mean that you have no chance to earn money, home based business offers a big opportunity to earn money while you are at home.

It is not necessary that you are an expert in budgeting for you to handle your  family finances well. Writing down to track all your expenses could help a lot in your budgeting. Divide your spending into two groups namely essential/needs and optional/wants. Then, try to eliminate those that are on your optional/wants list as much as you can.

If you have debts to pay, better spend money on cash basis only. Stop using credit cards for you to be more aware and be effective in your budgeting. If your weakness is buying unnecessary things when you go shopping, better avoid those places first to better handle your spending habits.

Yes, budget for food is under the essential/needs list but better check out well what are the things you usually buy, if it is really necessary and is healthy to be consumed. You can save big amount from your food budget if you buy those that are just necessary.

Stay at home mom who knows how to budget and earn something while at home is a blessing to the family. Now that you know how to manage these two things you can set short term and long term goals like paying a debt, saving to buy a property, and other things.

When Can You Call Your House a Home

Metal buildings are great investment since they are durable and could stand against strong winds, earthquake and leaks. If your residence is as enduring as residential steel buildings, I hope your parenting skills and love atmosphere in your place is as strong as your residence for it to be called by your family a home.

We could not deny the fact that lots of teenagers prefer to be with their friends than their family because of lack of bonding and communication at home. The greatest need of a child is not financial support from a parent but the parenting skills of parents to a child.

There are people I personally know who went out of the country to provide all the needs and wants of their kids but failed to give the most important aspect–of being a parent to their kids. Yes, they have been a great provider but only on financial aspect. They provided their family with comfortable shelter, all the food, clothing, and gadgets they want but never been there to guide their kids and be there for them when they need a parent the most.

I personally could attest of the advantages of having a parent to be there for you than just their financial support to buy all your needs and wants. If there is a saying that “Behind the success of every man there is a woman” all I could say is that “Behind a fulfilled and happy teenager is a happy home with a loving parents who guided and care for him since he was young.”  How about you, when can you call your house a home?

Jump Rope to Wellness

During my childhood days, we used to jump rope as a form of childhood play. We maximize the rope using different styles of jumping activities. It’s fun to do it whether in group or individually. Kids appreciate rope jumping at home even if they have no playmate at all.

Aside from fun reap out of jumping rope games, jumping rope is known in improving strength and endurance as well as coordination and agility. Jumping rope is a great cardiovascular work out and could strengthen the bones too. No wonder, my parents teach me about rope jumping and encourage me and my friends to play rope jumping games.

Rope jump is not just good for kids but for all of us. Aside from the list of  benefits jumping rope could offer that I have mentioned above, it is a good form of work out for adults too. It may not burn fat directly (if that is your target), but  it is a high calorie burner form of exercise. One minute of jumping the rope could burn 10-15 calories, depending on your jumping rate.

Jumping rope exercise is fun and healthy to do but you need to take precautionary measures before doing the said activity. it is not a good form of exercise for people who are suffering from hypertension or high blood pressure since jumping rope could further increase your blood pressure level as you are doing the activity.

Since all family members could benefit from rope jumping, why  don’t you include it in your family bonding activities’ list? Just take note that you have to warm out first before you start your jumping rope activity. 5-10 minutes walking or jogging or rope jumping in a slow tempo or jumping jacks are good warm-up exercises.

Jumping rope for 3 minutes or less then have a 1 minute rest in between 3 minutes jump is the advisable as rope jumping workout (you just need to adjust the speed according to your body capacity).

If you are with your kids, and make jumping rope your fun family activity it is good to do it by pairs. Two members will hold and move the rope in circular motion while the other pair will skip the rope. We interchangeably call jumping rope  as skipping rope.

Stretching your body to cool down after jumping  rope activity could help to slow down your heart rate to its normal state and relax your muscles at the same time. Stretching is  important as warm up activity.

You want an enjoyable way to be healthy? Go, rope jump to wellness!

How to Help Your Kids Learn The Importance of Family Bonding And Exercise

You want some tips how to help your kids learn the importance of family bonding and exercise? If you are one of those parent who want your kids to appreciate the importance of exercise, family exercise is a great bonding moment to promote it. Kids, as young as months old are capable of  learning  through what they see and hear and could appreciate happenings and beauty of their surroundings.

Putting the baby on a stroller while the whole family is taking a walk in the park every morning or afternoon as form of family bonding and exercise is a good start for the baby to learn and enjoy walking with the family on the park. So, never set aside the baby and his nanny while the rest of the family is walking for wellness sake. By the time the baby could walk, encourage him to take few steps every now and then during your family walk to wellness activity.

Dancing, jogging and jumping rope are some of the fun physical activities to do if little kids are already capable to do such activities. Seeing all members participate in your family activities religiously with fun and excitement is a great learning experience for little kids  about the importance of family bonding and exercise.

A Dream Car To Own

Car is really one of the necessities especially if you have your own family and the kids are so young. Speaking of cars, have you seen the 2010 tesla roadster? All I could say is wow… hope I could own one. I saw the model on the internet as we are browsing for car fit for my cousin’s family. They are planning to have either pickup truck like ford f-150 or a honda cr-v.

My cousin’s wife love to have honda cr-v because it is so suitable for transportation if you have little kids, she said. Their children are still so young and she felt it is more comfortable to have a honda cr-v as their mode of transportation. Not only that, they could accommodate some friends on their car if it is necessary.

My cousin want to have ford f-150 because as for him most of the time it is just his family whom he always go out with. He said that it is more practical not just nowadays that they purchase some materials needed for their on-going construction house but for other purposes as well.

As for now they are still thinking what to buy while I am dreaming to have a car such as nice as 2010 tesla roadster.

Family Budget Management

Nowadays where everything seems expensive, we need to spend our money wisely. We need to know where to Best Buy things we need and spend less on our wants.

Family health is wealth, thus, wholesome food should be the first priority of family budget. Lack of budget should not hinder from preparing wholesome foods. Parents just need some understanding about nutrition, some common sense, and imagination. Fruits, vegetables, eggs, milk, whole-grain rich foods should be prioritized over food that are processed and those that are high in fat, salt, and sugar. You don’t need lots of money to provide nourishing foods for your family.

As early as my childhood years, I remember that I am the one who budget my weekly allowance. At first, my allowance for 5 days lasts for 2-3 days only. It was so hard for me to stretch my weekly allowance. I told my grandma about my problem and on the next day she gave me a small notebook. She let me write all my weekly expenses and as the week ended, she let me reflect about my expenses. She let me check all the needs and put an X on my wants. My grandma let me do it for a month while encouraging me to save some amount for the rainy days. On my first week I got lots of X than check marks, but after a month I barely saw X mark on my weekly expenses and the list of expenses was much shorter than the first few weeks. The activity was so simple yet full of lessons about budgeting.

While they are young, children should learn the true value of money as early as possible. They should be taught to differentiate their needs and wants, and on how to use money wisely aside from teaching them about taking care of their health in inexpensive ways.

Coming Back Home

My cousin will be back this February. He works overseas and spend time with his family every after one whole year working at the ship. I am pretty sure that he is now excited to be back home. Aside from his family to come back for his vacation, he wants to realize his dream house for his family too.

Definitely, they will go to different places again for their bonding like they’ve done on his last vacation. But they need an rv repair first for their car to make sure that it is on good condition while the whole family is on board. He will definitely enjoy his vacation this time because his 2years old daughter can now speak and interact properly and not just baby talk.

I know that it is not that emotionally easy for him to be away from his family to earn some living because kids does not just need financial support but care and guidance of a father too. Text messages, daily calls and chat during weekends is not enough to show how he love his kids and his wife. He’ll definitely try to compensate all the lacking factors during his vacations.
