Health Benefits of Fish Oil
I love to eat oily fishes since childhood days. Tuna, salmon and mackerel are just some of my favorites. It tastes so favorably on my taste buds and love it even more since I learned that oily fishes are rich in omega-3 oil. But, some people are worried of contamination of fishes with toxic chemicals because of some illegal dumping of toxic materials into the seas thus they prefer to eat animal meat as their source of protein and could not avail the tremendous benefits of fish oil from oily fishes.
Thanks to fish oil manufacturing companies, because of them it is not necessary for us to eat oily fishes just to avail the health benefits of fish oil. Not just that, they make sure that fish oils they produce are of good quality and free from any possible contaminants from the ocean where oily fishes resides. Fish oil supplements are usually blended with vitamin E. Aside from being a powerful antioxidant, vitamin E prevents fish oil to become rancid.
The two components of omega-3 in fish oil, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), provides notable health benefits. Aside from it could fill in nutritional gap, regular consumption of fish oil could lower cholesterol level, lower blood pressure, it improves cardiovascular health so as the liver. It could also help people who are suffering from asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), multiple sclerosis and cancer. Studies also showed that it could help those who are suffering from depression, bipolar disorder and ADHD.
We have no excuse for not availing the awesome health benefits of omega-3 from fish oil now. Whether you are like me who loves to eat oily fishes or not because there are fish oil supplements that are available now in the market. For pure vegetarians, flaxseed and flax oil are great alternative for fish oil when we talk about omega-3.
Family Budget Management
Nowadays where everything seems expensive, we need to spend our money wisely. We need to know where to Best Buy things we need and spend less on our wants.
Family health is wealth, thus, wholesome food should be the first priority of family budget. Lack of budget should not hinder from preparing wholesome foods. Parents just need some understanding about nutrition, some common sense, and imagination. Fruits, vegetables, eggs, milk, whole-grain rich foods should be prioritized over food that are processed and those that are high in fat, salt, and sugar. You don’t need lots of money to provide nourishing foods for your family.
As early as my childhood years, I remember that I am the one who budget my weekly allowance. At first, my allowance for 5 days lasts for 2-3 days only. It was so hard for me to stretch my weekly allowance. I told my grandma about my problem and on the next day she gave me a small notebook. She let me write all my weekly expenses and as the week ended, she let me reflect about my expenses. She let me check all the needs and put an X on my wants. My grandma let me do it for a month while encouraging me to save some amount for the rainy days. On my first week I got lots of X than check marks, but after a month I barely saw X mark on my weekly expenses and the list of expenses was much shorter than the first few weeks. The activity was so simple yet full of lessons about budgeting.
While they are young, children should learn the true value of money as early as possible. They should be taught to differentiate their needs and wants, and on how to use money wisely aside from teaching them about taking care of their health in inexpensive ways.
The Best Way to Start Your Day
The best way to start your day is to welcome it with right attitude. Start your day with a positive attitude and shun any thoughts that produce stress. As much as possible, wake up 1 hour or at least 30 minutes before you start your daily routine like cooking breakfast for your family or have your family morning devotional. The first hour of your day which you spend alone could help a lot on how you face your daily challenges in life.
As you wake up, take time to relax and read a section of Scripture or an inspiring thought. Take time to reflect the passage to your life, and talk to God through prayer.
A glass or two of drinking water could satiate your body’s need of hydration. No single organ of your body that does not need water to for it to function well. You haven’t taken any liquid while you’re asleep, so better start your day by hydrating your body and excrete the waste ones.
Light exercise could not just help your body to be more flexible but your health in general. It can improve circulation and respiration aside from toning your muscles. Exercise could help you think clearly too.
It would be great if you take time to plan your activities for the day too. You can do it while you are exercising at the same time. If you need to be reminded, better jot down your plan of the day.
After doing all these things, you are now set for a wonderful day. Have a nice day my friend!
Remedies for Hair Loss
Aside from those who’ve undergone chemotherapy sessions, I’ve never seen bald women yet. But, there are times that I worry about hair loss because there is no single study who assured that women are immune to baldness. Because, there are days that hair fall after washing my hair and combing it seems not normal already. I check out some info about hair loss and I got a bunch of information.
Our hair growth stage lasts from two-six years, followed by 3-month resting phase. During resting period, hairs can easily fall out. It is perfectly normal if we lose about 60 hairs a day as we wash, comb or brush our hair. But, if the loss rate is more than the rate of new growth, thinning can occur.
The hair loss treatment will depend upon what really causes hair loss. Heredity plays a big role on this case but there are other factors than this that triggers hair loss. Hormonal problems like high levels of insulin and testosterone and low level of thyroid hormone can cause hair loss. Inflammatory skin conditions in the scalp, lice and scabies infestation, some health problems, medications (like chemotherapy and steroids) and stress are culprits too. But, we need not to overlook the strong hair products and poor nutrition (protein malnutrion) in considering the cause of hair loss.
Aside from treating the cause, we all know that our hairs are like plants. We need to take care of its roots and the scalp where it grows, not just its shaft. There are hair loss treatment that effectively regrow hair through this concept. Others resort to home remedies like drinking 1 pint a day of freshly extracted juice of combination of carrot, alfalfa and lettuce that is good for the roots of the hair.
Coming Back Home
My cousin will be back this February. He works overseas and spend time with his family every after one whole year working at the ship. I am pretty sure that he is now excited to be back home. Aside from his family to come back for his vacation, he wants to realize his dream house for his family too.
Definitely, they will go to different places again for their bonding like they’ve done on his last vacation. But they need an rv repair first for their car to make sure that it is on good condition while the whole family is on board. He will definitely enjoy his vacation this time because his 2years old daughter can now speak and interact properly and not just baby talk.
I know that it is not that emotionally easy for him to be away from his family to earn some living because kids does not just need financial support but care and guidance of a father too. Text messages, daily calls and chat during weekends is not enough to show how he love his kids and his wife. He’ll definitely try to compensate all the lacking factors during his vacations.
