Common Culprits of Headaches

Got a bad headache? Here are some common culprits of headaches:

BLINDING LIGHTS – Too much light could irritate optic nerves leading to a feeling of pressure or pain around the eyes.

HUNGER – Headaches due to hunger signals that your blood sugar drops.

CHEESE – Cheese usually contains tyramine, a breakdown product from fermentation process. Take note, yellow cheese contains more tyramine than white cheese. Your body signals through headache if it is upset with tyramine in cheese.

CAFFEINE WITHDRAWAL – Caffeine constrict blood vessels and sudden withdrawal from caffeinated  drinks causes headache, irritability and other caffeine withdrawal symptoms.

ICE CREAM and other cold foods – Sudden cooling in the roof of your mouth and throat may overstimulate the nerves resulting to immediate response from your immune system and manifest it as headaches. If you want to consume cold foods such as ice cream, just take a small portion at a time.

NOISE POLLUTION -  Noise has the ability to accumulate and cause headaches, tiredness, irritability or even insomnia.

Next time you got a bad headache just check what causes it, for you to know the right step to do, to cure that headache. Just remember, each of us are unique. If the culprits I have mentioned earlier does not affect you personally it does not mean others would respond like your body do.
